Step-By-Step Process
1. Reach Out
The first step is simply getting in touch. Families can contact us through our website, email, or phone. There’s no commitment— it’s just a way to explore whether Little Chats may be a good fit for your child and family.
2. We Connect Within 24 Hours
Once we hear from you, we’ll reach out within one business day.
We'll share a bit about Little Chats and our approach, discuss current availability, and answer any immediate questions you may have.
3. Complete a Short Intake Form
If it feels like a potential fit, we’ll ask you to complete a brief intake form.
This form helps us gather basic information about your child, what you'd like ABA to help with, and insurance details so we can check coverage.
4: Insurance Verification
After receiving your intake, we'll verify your insurance benefits including reviewing coverage, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket costs. Then we’ll reach out to review everything together and answer any questions.
5. Authorization for Assessment
We'll submit a request to your insurance company for authorization to complete an initial assessment. This assessment helps us get to know your child’s strengths and needs and determine appropriate goals.
6. Initial Assessment
The assessment may include play-based observation, caregiver interview, and a short developmental skill assessment. Following the assessment, we prepare a detailed report and submit it to your insurance company.
7. Begin Services
Once services are approved, we work together to schedule sessions and begin therapy in a way that feels manageable for your family. Many families start small and adjust over time.
